Field Trips
Each year OCT entertains over 60,000 students with our field trip performances. Students experience the magic of live theatre—some of the very first time—alongside their peers and educators.
OCT also provides support to educators through production-themed resource guides, designed to extend learning from the stage right into the classroom. In these guides, educators will find curriculum and activities aligned with Common Core and SEL Standards for Oregon and Washington.

About Field Trips at OCT
-
Beginning in 2027, OCT will be performing our field trips in multiple new locations throughout the Portland metro area! Please refer to the field trip’s web page for exact location details.
Field trip performances typically are held at 9:45 and 11:45 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, depending on production.
-
Tickets for all field trips are $12 and $6 for Title 1 Schools. Limited funding assistance is available!
-
Our field trips are general admission, meaning that we will fill the seating area based on the school’s arrival at the venue. We will continue to honor requests for students needing special accommodations for vision, hearing, or physical impairment; if you have students requiring these accommodations, please let us know during the booking process.
-
We offer accessible seating in all our performance venues. Please indicate in your reservation that you need accessible seating so you can be seated accordingly.
-
OCT believes that all children should have access to the arts: if you have a financial need, we do have limited funding assistance available. When booking your field trip, you will be asked about any funding assistance need, and we will do our best to support you and your students.
Please note that funding assistance is limited and, due to the high number of requests we receive, we may not be able to respond to all applicants.
-
Booking a field trip is easy: simply complete the booking form for the show you’d like to attend. Field trips require a minimum of ten tickets in a reservation (six for homeschool groups).
A member of our School Services team will contact you to confirm details about your field trip, including number of tickets needed and transportation arrangements.
-
We accept cancellations and seat adjustments up until your final payment date, which is two weeks prior to your performance.
If you are unable to attend after the two-week deadline, your school will still be responsible for the amount due since we will not have adequate time to re-book your tickets and those seats will go unused. Thank you for your understanding.
-
Payment is due in full two weeks prior to the performance date. Changes to ticket numbers are allowed up until this final payment date. No changes or cancellations will be allowed past this due date.
Two weeks prior to your performance you will receive a final confirmation email with a direct payment link for credit card payments. If your school needs to pay by check or Purchase Order, these can be mailed to:

OCT does NOT arrange for transportation to field trips; this responsibility must be managed by the school. We are happy to provide contact information and other resources that may be helpful when arranging transportation. Please note that many bussing companies book quickly and we recommend contacting them prior to your two-week confirmation date.
