classes in clark county

oct classes are coming to clark county!

Oregon Children’s Theatre is excited to expand our acclaimed education program to Clark County! OCT creates welcoming, imaginative spaces where kids build important life skills like collaboration, creativity, curiosity, and connection. Now, thanks to Clark College Foundation with support from the Palmer Foundation, children and teens in Ridgefield and East Vancouver can access these experiences locally and affordably!

About OCT’s Education Programs

At OCT, we have always believed that theatre skills = life skills. But this core belief has evolved and grown: we know that young people learn most deeply when they are active participants in making meaning, shaping stories, and creating work of their own. Our education programming is increasingly centered on a literacy-rich, generative approach. Students are not only performers; they are readers, interpreters, writers, adapters, improvisers, collaborators, and creators. This unique perspective into the world of theatre allows children to have a broader, more fulfilling arts education experience.
