The legends: a devised theatre intensive
Step into a three-week creative intensive where myth meets the modern world. In this collaborative production process, students won’t just perform a play—they’ll create one from the ground up.
Drawing inspiration from global myths, folklore, and legendary archetypes, participants will devise and write an original theatrical work titled The Legends. Through guided playwriting, improvisation, and ensemble-building, students will shape characters, storylines, and themes that reflect both ancient storytelling traditions and the urgent questions facing today’s generation.
Along the way, students will also engage in the full production process: exploring acting, design, and technical elements as they bring their original piece to life. Facilitated by professional theatre artists, this intensive is ideal for teens interested in performance, storytelling, and the power of collaborative creation.
The experience culminates in a fully realized performance of a brand-new work: bold, imaginative, and completely their own.
