OCT invited several illustrators and comic artists to sketch the show live from the audience. Check out their interpretations below!

 

 

Naomi Rubin

Naomi is a writer and illustrator for her comic, Domestic Animal. She operates her creative studio, Naomiyaki, which focuses on illustration and character design. Her work has been featured on book covers, web applications, and more.

Victoria Jamieson

Victoria is a writer, illustrator, and children’s book illustration teacher at Pacific Northwest College of Art, as well as a member of the Rose City Rollers roller derby league. Her graphic novel, Roller Girl, is a Newbery Honor Award Winner and New York Times bestseller.

Becky Hawkins

Becky is a cartoonist and musician who was recently commissioned by the Community Alliance of Tenants to create a comic book about renters’ rights in Portland. Her work can be found at French Toast Comix.

Barry Deutsch 

Barry is the author and illustrator of the political comic book Ampersand, as well as the fantasy-adventure comic Hereville. He graduated from PSU and has received the Charles M. Schulz award for his work.

Dylan Meconis

Dylan is a cartoonist, writer, and illustrator living in Portland. She is a member of Periscope Studio for freelance comic professionals and has written and illustrated several graphic novels. She also created the artwork for OCT’s James and the Giant Peach (2016) posters and fliers!

Adrian Wallace

Adrian was born in Nottingham, England and first learned to draw and paint from his grandfather. He shares a tiny house with a big dog, two cats, and a lovely wife. He makes comics, graphics, and web things for a living.

Lucy Bellwood

Lucy is a freelance illustrator and cartoonist who is a full-time member of Periscope Studio, the largest collective of freelance comics professionals in North America. She has written and illustrated several successful comics, including True Believer and Baggywrinkles: a Lubber’s Guide to Life at Sea.
