OCT supports using public transportation whenever possible. Hatfield Hall is accessible by all MAX lines and multiple bus routes. Contact TriMet directly for more information.
School bus parking is provided at all OCT field trips. Bus parking is located in front of and behind the building. Your bus will remain parked in the same spot and will be waiting for you after the play ends. See below for step-by-step directions to Hatfield Hall to share with your bus driver.
Directions to Hatfield Hall BUS PARKING
These directions are specific to bus parking. Because Downtown Portland has multiple one-way streets, giving these exact directions to your bus driver will help ensure an easy arrival.
* You will be directed to bus parking along Park Ave. (northbound) behind Hatfield Hall and the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall).
From the north or east
Follow I-5 south to the City Center/Oregon City exit. Follow the signs toward City Center. Cross the Morrison Bridge, follow SW Washington 5 blocks to Broadway. Turn left. Go 8 blocks to Jefferson Street and turn right. Travel one block and turn right on SW Park Ave.
From the south
Follow I-5 to I-405. Take the 12th Ave. exit and turn right on SW Market St. Continue East four blocks, then turn left on SW Park Ave. (between 9th and Broadway). Continue 5 blocks.
From the west
Follow Hwy. 26 east and get in the center lane prior to the Vista Ridge Tunnel. Take the Market St./City Center exit. Continue on SW Market to Park Ave. (between 9th and Broadway). Turn left on Park Ave. Continue 5 blocks.
From the southeast
Cross the Ross Island Bridge in the right hand lane and follow signs to Highway 26/Naito Parkway. Turn right onto Naito Parkway before the overpass. Turn left on SW Jefferson St. Continue 8 blocks, then turn right on SW Park Ave.
Street parking is available with fees required on weekdays from 8am to 7pm. The nearest Smart Park garages are located at 730 SW 10th Ave. and 818 SW 4th Ave. Both locations are a 6 minute walk to the theater (0.3 mi.).
Where is OCT's YP Studio Theater?
1939 NE Sandy Blvd. Impulse! will be performed here. The YP Studio Theater has unmetered street parking nearby and is reachable by TriMet's #12, #19, or #20 bus lines. Contact our offices at (503) 228-9571 x2 for bus parking instructions.

We are committed to bringing theater learning opportunities to low-income schools. In order to increase the number of students and schools we serve each year, we have developed a funding assistance application for teachers.
The information provided by your application helps us to identify areas of need and pursue funding that will allow us to increase the number of free and reduced price tickets available each year.
All public schools where at least 70% of students qualify for federal free/reduced lunch programs are eligible for funding assistance. To determine your school's free/reduce lunch participation for the most recent year on file, click here for Oregon schools and click here for Washington schools.
Please do not reserve any field trip tickets before hearing back about the status of your application.

Tickets & Payments
Planning a field trip is easy at OCT!

- Newmark Theatre: $6.00 (second balcony), $7.75 (first balcony), $8.25 (main floor)
- Winningstad Theatre: All tickets $7.75
- YP Studio Theatre: All tickets $7.00
*Please note that any tickets added to your order must be arranged by school staff. School field trip performances are not available for purchase by the public.
Special seating needs
Please contact OCT as soon as possible before your field trip if any students in your group have special seating needs, including wheelchair users, or students with a visual or hearing impairment that require seating closer to the stage.
Both the Newmark and Winningstad theaters are fully ADA-accessible. Please note: students needing completely accessible seating may need to sit with a chaperone in a different section than the rest of your group.
ADA-accessible restrooms are located on every floor of Hatfield Hall. In addition, a single-occupancy wheelchair accessible restroom is located on the second, third, and fourth floors next to Aisle 1 of the Newmark Theatre.
OCT provides a sign interpreter at school performances on the following dates:

Assisted listening devices
Individual headseats or neck loops with a receiver are available for use during school performances. Please let an OCT staff member or usher know if a student, teacher or chaperone would like to use one of these devices.
We’re happy to answer any questions about script content, stage effects, sound and lighting, and any other concerns you may have.
OCT will perform as scheduled provided that Portland Public Schools are open. Closure information will be posted on the homepage.
If WE must cancel
We will attempt to reschedule your field trip in our current season. If not possible, we will refund the admission cost to your school.
If YOU must cancel
If you have a school closure, notify us immediately at 503-228-9571. Although refunds are not possible, we will attempt to reschedule your students at another performance in our current season.
