Dreams: where do they come from? What is their purpose? Newbery Thumbnail for Gossamer photoAward-winning author Lois Lowry adapts her own book for the stage, and explores the depth of dreams in this beautiful, lyrical play. Gossamer is the story of dream-givers, mystical creatures who collect memories from meaningful belongings and then weave them together to create dreams.

The story follows a young boy and his mother, both escaping from an abusive past, and an older woman who serves as the boy’s foster mother. Haunted by nightmares, the boy is strengthened and protected by his dream giver, Littlest One. Gossamer is a sensitive and compelling play for thoughtful youth and their families.
