- Before finding the Golden Ticket, what is Charlie’s life like? What is positive about it? What is negative about it?
- Describe Charlie’s family. How is it different from yours? How is it similar?
- If you found a golden ticket that entitled you to an all-day, behind-the-scenes tour, where would you want to go? Why?
- Which of the children touring the factory is your favorite? Why do you like this character the best? Which is your least favorite? Why?
- All of the children touring the factory, except Charlie, have a bad habit of some sort. What are some bad habits you have? What good habits do you have?
- Charlie shows that dreams really can come true. What are your top three dreams for the future? What steps can you take to make them really happen?
- The children in the factory ignore Willy Wonka’s instructions to not touch. Have you ever done something that you were told not to? What happened?
- If you found some money in the street, how would you spend it?

Imagine your own Golden Ticket contest. What type of contest would you have? What would be the reward? Design and draw your own Golden Ticket.

Willy Wonka spends his days dreaming up wonderful new candy concoctions. Invent your own candy or chocolate treat. Draw a picture of it. Now write a radio script persuading people to buy it. Act out the script.

Write down your good and bad habits. How can you turn you turn your bad habits into good ones?

Ingredients
- 16 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 c. toasted almonds (slivered or whole)
Directions
- Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
- Heat chocolate in double boiler over low heat until all is melted.
- Add the almonds and pour the mixture immediately onto baking sheet, spreading mixture evenly.
- Let the almond bark cool and break it into pieces.
- Store in airtight container lined with wax paper, separating the layers with wax paper.
