Frequently Asked Questions

How do I exchange tickets?

As a season subscriber, you may exchange tickets free of charge. Exchanging is easy, but must be done two business days prior to your scheduled performance.

In Person: Bring tickets to the OCT office (9:00 am-4:00 pm, weekdays).
By Mail: Download this form and mail it with your current tickets to OCT at 1939 NE Sandy Blvd. Portland, OR 97232.
By Fax: Tear tickets in half and fax a copy of your destroyed tickets with the form below to OCT at 503-228-3545

Time permitting, new tickets will be mailed to you. Otherwise, you may pick them up at the theater one hour prior to show time. Requests are processed on a date-received and seat-available basis. New seats will be as close as possible to your original seats, unless otherwise requested.

How can I bring extra friends or family members?

Call and order – we’ll try our best to put your extra seats nearby or move your current seats to get you all together (subject to availability).  The order fee is waived for season ticket holders.

Can I bring the baby?

We recommend our productions for ages 4 and above. If you bring a child over 1 year old, a ticket is required.

What if we are late to a performance?

Do your best to give yourself ample time to get to the theater, find parking, use the restroom and get to your seats, but we know sometimes lateness is unavoidable.  OCT will seat you regardless of how late you are, however, please know that this can be extremely distracting to other patrons.  If you miss a performance and do not notify us prior, we are unable to reissue tickets for a future performance.

What if my schedule conflicts with the entire run of a show and I cannot attend at all?

We are happy to exchange your tickets but are unable to issue a refund. If you realize that you are unable to attend a show for the entire run you can either give your tickets to a friend, exchange your tickets for additional tickets to another show you are already attending, or exchange them back to OCT for a tax deductible donation. If exchanging, this must be done 2 business days prior to your scheduled performance.

What if the weather is bad, my kids are sick or we have an emergency?

OCT works hard to keep you happy.  We understand that the unexpected can arise.  If you are unable to attend a performance please:

Call our office NO LATER THAN 5pm the Friday before the performance you are to attend and either speak with a box office representative OR leave a message in the general voicemail.  This helps us sell every available seat.  Someone from OCT will contact you and find an alternate date to attend the show OR offer you seats to another OCT production.

When you call please:
  1. State your name and the performance you are scheduled to attend.
  2. Leave a phone number in which you can be reached on that day.
  3. Someone from OCT will return your call to arrange an exchange.

We must talk to you directly prior to the performance in order to honor the exchange.

How can I be extra certain we don’t miss a performance?

If your family’s lives are as busy as ours, you may appreciate a reminder of your upcoming scheduled performance.  We are now offering a reminder email to subscribers that will be sent the week of your performance date. If you would like to be included in this free offer, please email your name and email address to info@octc.org.
