Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates are available in any dollar amount or number of tickets. Call us and we can help you choose the best way to give the gift of theater!
How do I redeem a coupon?
Coupons can be redeemed over the phone or in person. Unfortunately, we’re not able to redeem coupons online at this point.
How do I exchange tickets?
Ticket exchanges are available for a fee of $3 per ticket. Season subscribers may exchange tickets free of charge. Visit or call the OCT office (9:00 am-5:00 pm, weekdays) and we’ll be happy to help you! New seats will be as close as possible to your original seats, unless otherwise requested.
What if my kids are sick, we have an emergency, or the weather is bad?
If you are unable to attend a performance and it is after business hours, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call our office at least 2 hours before the performance and leave a message in the general voicemail. Please leave your name, performance date/time, and a number where you can be reached and someone from OCT will contact you and find an alternate date to attend a performance.
Can I bring the baby?
We recommend our productions for ages 4 and above. If you bring a child over 1 year old, a ticket is required.
What if we are late to a performance?
OCT will seat you regardless of how late you are, however, please know that this can be extremely distracting to other patrons and may require alternate seating. If you miss a performance and do not notify us prior, we are unable to reissue tickets for a future performance.
What if my schedule conflicts with the entire run of a show and I can't attend at all?
We are happy to exchange your tickets but are unable to issue a refund. If you realize that you are unable to attend a show you can either give your tickets to a friend, exchange your tickets for additional tickets to another show you are already attending, or return them to OCT for a tax deductible donation. If exchanging, this must be done no later than the Friday before your scheduled performance.
Are the theaters accessible?
Theaters are accessible to all patrons, including barrier-free access, with sign interpreted performances. Call our office to arrange for sign interpreted seating.
Do you offer Arts for All?
Yes! Oregon Trail Card users qualify for the Arts for All program. You may purchase up to four $5 tickets. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are not valid with any other offer. Excludes premium and price level one seating. You must present your Oregon Trail Card at time of purchase or when picking up your tickets at the theater. To purchase, just give us a call!
What are the theaters like?
The Newmark Theatre was designed to emulate the Edwardian-style theaters of Europe and even though it is the largest of the theaters at Hatfield Hall, no seat in the theater is farther than 65 feet from the stage.
The Winningstad Theatre is an Elizabethan or “blackbox” style theater. Innovative and intimate, the audience feels as if they are right in the middle of the action. It is located at 1111 SW Broadway, Downtown Portland.
OCT's YP Studio Theater is an intimate "blackbox" style theater. With a maximum of 100 seats, the whole room feels like a stage! It is located at 1939 NE Sandy Blvd, in the inner Eastside Kerns neighborhood in Portland.
Where should I park?
Newmark and Winningstad Theatres DOWNTOWN: street parking is available with fees required on weekdays from 8am to 7pm. The nearest parking garages can be found here.
