Go be big at OCT

For 20 years, Oregon Children’s Theatre has been introducing young people to a world where imagination and creative expression thrive: The theater. Our classes are perfect for serious, aspiring performers, as well as for kids who just want a super-fun, creative outlet—a place to discover and gain solid skills that will serve them on stage and throughout life:

  • Confidence and self expression
  • Playing and taking artistic risks
  • Teamwork and leadership
  • Spontaneity and creativity
  • Engaging body and voice
  • Focus and commitment

You’ll find classes offered after school and on weekends, with plenty of choices for young people from age 3 1/2 to 18. We welcome students at every level of skill and experience—from beginners to those seeking advanced training—and keep class sizes small so everybody gets the attention they deserve. Contact Us: If you’re not sure which classes are right for your student, give us a call at 503-228-9571 ext 4, and we’ll guide you through the available choices. Please remember to register early. Many of our classes sell out quickly!

Young Professionals

Our Young Professionals mentoring program provides additional training and professional opportunities for more serious students. OCT's Young Professionals are dedicated, mature students—ages 13 and up (or by approval)—who are seeking advanced training through mentorship and exposure to a wide range of theater experiences. The YP program builds a community of theater peers and parents and provides them with resources, information, and unique theater opportunities.

Auditions are held every June. Auditions are open to children (ages 6+) and adults. Call 503-228-9571 to schedule an audition time. Please bring a 1-2 minute memorized monologue, a headshot or current photo, and a resume detailing class and/or performance experience. PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR SPECIFIC DATES AND DETAILS.
